This Privacy Policy governs the manner in which Rydyt ("we", "our", or "us"), in accordance with the provisions of the Indian Information Technology Act, 2000, and its rules, collects, uses, maintains, and discloses information collected from users ("you" or "your") of the Rydyt mobile application ("the App").

By visiting www.rydyt.in / www.rydyt.com (the 'Website') or using the Rydyt mobile application (our 'App') you accept and consent to the practices described in this Privacy Notice including the processing of your personal data under this lawful basis.

Personal Information: When you register an account with Rydyt, we may collect personal information such as your name, email address, date of birth, and phone number.

Trip Data: We may collect information about your trips, including start and end locations, route information, distance traveled, and duration.

Device Information: We may collect information about your device, including device type, operating system, unique device identifiers, and mobile network information.

Location Information: With your consent, we may collect precise location information from your device while you are using the App.

Technical Information: Whenever you visit our website/app, we collect the information such as the Internet protocol (IP) address used to connect your computer to the Internet, your login information, browser type and version, time zone setting, browser plug-in types and versions, operating system and platform. Access to your GPS location and other phone sensors (Acceleration 3 axis, Gyroscope 3 axis, Speed and connected timestamps) is an essential part of the Services that we deliver and therefore we will also collect this from you. 

Visit Information: This includes the full Uniform Resource Locators (URL), clickstream to, through and from our Website/App (including date and time), pages you have visited, page response times, download errors, length of visits to certain page and page interaction information (such as scrolling, clicks, and mouse-overs).

3rd Party Information: This is information we receive about you if you use any of the other websites we operate or the other services we provide. In this case we will have informed you when we collected that data if we intend to share those data internally and combine it with data collected on this Website. We will also have told you for what purpose we will share and combine your data. We are working closely with third parties (including, for example, business partners, sub-contractors in technical, payment and delivery services, advertising networks, analytics providers, search information providers, credit reference agencies). To Allow Registration: We may use your personal and contact information to successfully register you to the platform and follow the authentication process.

To Provide Services: We use the information collected to provide and improve our services, including trip planning, community features, and personalized content.

To Communicate: We may use your contact information to send you notifications, updates, and promotional materials related to the App.

To Enhance User Experience: We use collected data to analyze usage patterns, troubleshoot technical issues, and optimize the performance of the App.

Third-Party Service Providers: Should your Personal Data be provided for purposes of taking part in activities, events, initiatives or contests, your Personal Data may also be processed by service providers and/or insurance companies entrusted by Rydyt. These third parties are subject to confidentiality agreements with us and other legal restrictions that prohibit their use of the information we provide them for any purpose other than to perform the specific related operation, unless you have explicitly agreed or given your prior permission to them for additional uses. This will act, unless otherwise specifies, as Personal Data Processors.

Legal Compliance: In certain cases, we may be required to provide Personal Data in response to a valid court order, subpoena, government investigation, or as otherwise required by law. We also reserve the right to report to law enforcement agencies any activities that we, in good faith, believe to be unlawful or in violation of applicable laws. We may release certain Personal Data when we believe that such release is reasonably necessary to protect the rights, property, and safety of others and ourselves, or to detect, prevent, or otherwise address fraud, security, or technical issues.

Business transaction: In the event that we intend to sell or transfer ownership or control of any or all of our business, operations or services to a third party, we may need to disclose your Personal Data to a potential buyer both before and after the purchase. We will do so in accordance and in compliance with the data protection laws applicable to you. In any case, in the event the sale goes through, we will require that the receiving party agree that they will be similarly bound by the provisions of this Privacy Policy and that they will only use and disclose your Personal Data as we are similarly entitled under this Privacy Policy. In the event the sale does not go through, we will require the potential purchaser to not use or disclose your Personal Data in any manner whatsoever and to completely erase the same.

Rydyt Group Companies: Your personal data may be shared with Rydyt and/or any of its subsidiaries.

We have adopted industry best practices from both technological and business process perspectives in order to make the security of your data a key part of the way we do business.

All our customer data and data collected through the Website or the App is stored on our secured servers.

We have policies and practices in place that ensure our compliance under the law, including training and adequate procedures put in place for any staff that handle or have access to sensitive information

Information retained until you remove it - such as your favorites, email address and other account related information.  We’ll keep this data in your Rydyt Account until you choose to remove it and/or update it.

Data that expires after a specific period of time - in some cases, you don’t need to actively delete your information as we set retention timeframes based on the reason for the data’s collection. We may also take steps to anonymize certain data within set time periods.

Information retained until your Rydyt Account is deleted - we may keep some data for the life of your Rydyt Account if it’s useful for helping us understand how users interact with our features and how we can improve our services.

Information retained for extended time periods for limited purposes - sometimes business and legal requirements oblige us to retain certain information, for specific purposes, for an extended period of time. Reasons we might retain some data for extended periods of time include:

You have the right to find out about what information we hold about you. You can exercise that right by contacting us and we will send you any request for information in a suitable electronic form within 20 working days. If your personal data is incorrect then you have the right to rectify this information and ensure that it is accurate and up to date. If your data is incorrect, please contact us at the email address above and a team member will rectify this on your behalf.
