How do I create an account and profile?

Download Rydyt, tap 'Sign Up', and follow the prompts. Create a profile, onboard a bike, and you're ready to ride!

How can I get a Rydyt referral Code, if I don't have one?

Check with Rydyt users

Sign up on Rydyt, click on "Request Referral Code", we will add you to our waiting list and generate a code when slots are available. You will be notified via Rydyt and SMS.

How do leaderboards work?

Rydyt ranks riding groups based on various metrics like distance covered in rides and number of rides completed. Join and climb the leaderboard.

What kind of ride statistics does the app show?

Rydyt displays distance, duration, weather details, average speed, max speed, and route maps.

Can I connect with other riders and join groups?

Absolutely! Use the "Chat" tab to find and join riding groups or create your own.

Can I upload photos/videos from my rides?

Yes! After each ride, you can add photos or short video clips to your ride log. Share these moments directly with your Rydyt groups and friends.

How do I find and connect with other riders nearby?

Look for and join public rides in your location

Is there an in-app messaging or chat function?

Rydyt offers in-app messaging. Use the "Chat" feature to message individual riders or communicate with your groups. Plan rides, create polls, share media and connect with your fellow riders.

Can I join or create public/private riding groups?

Yes! Go to "Groups" to join existing public groups or create your own. You can manage member access for groups you create.

Why does the Rydyt app need access to the Microphone?

Rydyt accesses the microphone only in the following situations: When you use voice commands to search for a location When you participate in the Rydyt Free Ride Intercom feature How voice data is handled Voice input for location searches is sent directly to Google’s voice processing APIs and is never transmitted to Rydyt servers. During Free Ride Intercom usage, voice data passes through Rydyt servers to enable real-time communication but is never recorded or stored. Please note that Rydyt Free Ride Intercom calls are not recorded under any circumstances. If there are any future changes to this behavior or data handling, you will receive a notification via an updated privacy policy.

Why does the Rydyt app need access to my Location?

Rydyt accesses your location only when you actively use features that require it, such as navigation or group rides. Your location is used to: Calculate navigation routes Track your position during active navigation (similar to standard map applications) Share real-time location with other riders participating in the same ride Send your precise location to your emergency contacts in the event of an accident Data usage policy Location data is never stored on Rydyt servers. Location access is limited strictly to the duration of the relevant feature usage. If this policy changes at any point in the future, you will be informed through a privacy policy update.

Why does the Rydyt app need access to my Contacts / Address Book?

Rydyt uses your contacts to identify people you already know who are also using the Rydyt app. This allows us to seamlessly connect you with existing friends for features such as in-app chat, ride invitations, and selecting emergency contacts. This approach is similar to how popular messaging platforms like WhatsApp and Telegram identify and connect users based on their address books. Privacy and data handling Rydyt does not upload your contact details to its servers. All processing is performed locally on your mobile device. We use cryptographic hashing techniques to securely match contacts without exposing personal information. Any hashed data sent to Rydyt servers is processed only in memory and is immediately deleted after use. If this functionality changes in the future, or if contact information is ever stored on Rydyt servers, you will be notified through an updated privacy policy.
